HB 2304 – Voting Locations; Precinct-Based:

Co-Sponsored by Rep. Marshall, this bill would prohibit voting centers, instead requiring county elections offices to conduct all elections at precinct-based
polling places. Talk about making voting inconvenient and costly! This bill would make voting especially difficult for voters in rural counties who may have to travel long distances on rough roads to get to their precinct polling places; voters with busy work, school, and caregiving schedules that may take them
away from their precincts on election day; and voters lacking convenient, reliable transportation. You can expect to see a large increase in the number of uncounted ballots when voters who inevitably show up at the wrong precinct-based polling place are not allowed to cast their ballots, and the need for increased funding to support more polling places and poll workers.
