Co-Sponsored by Rep. Marshall, this bill would prohibit the use of tabulating machines to count votes, requiring all votes to be counted by hand in city, town, and county elections. The terms “inefficient,” “costly,” and “riddled with human error” come to mind. But seriously, do you think for one minute that the legislators sponsoring this bill balance their check books or fill out their tax returns using pencil and paper, counting up all their numbers without the use of calculators, adding machines or computer software? Of course not! Because the results would be disastrous, just like the results would be if this ridiculous proposal were to become law.
